This stabilized Calypso Variscite cabochon comes from a small Nevada mine first discovered around 2007 and carefully worked in stages by Ryan Novell (Conscious Creators) since 2020. Most of the material has come from one main trench following a complex deposit of veins, nuggets, nodules and mineral replacements. Calypso Variscite is especially known for soft, cloudlike blues set against steely gray matrix, although the mine also produces rich greens, including occasional translucent material. I purchased this rough directly from Ryan.

Stabilized for durability and color retention over time, and backed for additional stability while setting and wearing.
