The rough for this natural Nevada Blue cabochon was purchased from Helen and Richard Shull of Esmeralda Turquoise Co.
Originally mined under the name Pinto/ Watts beginning in 1901, this material was uncovered in the 70s and for the past 40 years belonged in the Herb and Dottie Lindner collection. A lot of the best Nevada Blue Turquoise was mined in the 70s, and this piece is a beautiful representation of deep blues with dark veining. Unfortunately, the Nevada Blue mine is no longer producing, so this is a true piece of US turquoise history.
All natural and untreated; backed for stability.

As always, each stone is cut by hand here in my studio in the mountains of Wyoming.
