This stabilized old-stock Kingman turquoise cabochon was hand cut from rough mined the 80's and held for years before being cut. The material comes from the Mineral Park mining district in the Cerbat Mountains of northwestern Arizona. Kingman turquoise is known for colors ranging from clear sky blue and deep blue to blue-green and green, with brown or black matrix and occasional flecks of pyrite. Old-stock rough is limited to material preserved in existing collections, making it increasingly desirable among collectors, silversmiths and jewelry makers.

Stabilized for durability and color retention over time, and backed for additional stability while setting and wearing.
