This vintage Royston turquoise dates to the 1950s–60s and comes from the Royston mining district near Tonopah, Nevada. The rough came from the Fred Harris estate; his family produced silver and turquoise jewelry from 1948 through the mid-1970s. Royston is known for a broad range of color, from clear blue and blue-green to deep green, with multiple shades sometimes running through the same stone. Its matrix can range from fine brown or golden webbing to larger areas of contrasting host rock.

Stabilized for durability and color retention over time, and backed for additional stability while setting and wearing.

As always, each stone is cut by hand here in my studio in the mountains of Wyoming.
